Every year, in Las Vegas, concrete enthusiasts come together for a conference about working in their field, called the World of Concrete. Subjects covered at the trade show range from material handling to concrete demolition and everything in between. At first glance, to someone not in the field, going to this conference seems like the most boring week imaginable but, for us, the fun in the conference was not necessarily the information being given but instead how they were presenting it.
World of Concrete uses storage containers to create their conference. From the entrance crafted out of 5 containers to the trade show booths, containers are everywhere at the venue. The sturdy design and multiple functionality of a storage container make them a surprisingly handy tool to have at your trade show. For example, the containers creating the entrance are not only a stylish way to invite people to you event but also serve as a storage space for important equipment and supplies needed to the event running. With very few modifications, like cutting open one side of the container and adding corkboard to the wall, some containers were turned into professional looking
trade booths that would be a welcome treat at any trade show.
It never stops amazing us how people find new and inventive ways to use containers that have been around for decades. This is just one more example of how the sturdy design and easy mobility of a storage container can fit even the most obscure needs.
