A-Verdi in the Community: East Coast Snocross
Once a year we welcome the talented racers of the Amsoil East Coast Snocross to Western New York as part of their national tour. These snowmobile experts take daring jumps and twisted turns at extremely high speeds as they look to beat out their competition in a race to the finish line at the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca New York. The two day weekend event features plenty of classic races from the junior to professional level. This year’s event was especially exciting as Canadian native Danny Poirier took first place in the weekend’s premier race, the Pro Open. The event is the best showcase of snowmobile racing in Western New York and is even televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. If you enjoy racing or snowmobiling this is sure to be an event you won’t want to miss next year.
If you have never caught a Snocross event this video is a little taste of what you have been missing:
This year we were excited to sponsor the event in Salamanca by providing our ground level office and storage containers. Our 40’ ground level office container was used by the event as a ticket booth at the front gate. As this event happens in the dead of winter, organizers wanted a warm place to manage the day to day operations as well as provide their front desk workers/ ticket takers a warm place to do their jobs. Our containers are insulated and have an HVAC unit that did the trick. They also enjoyed that the container gave them a secure space to handle and store money, reducing any threat of robbery or theft. Our storage containers were a perfect solution to storing equipment for the event as they needed storage space that could hold up to the harsh New York winter, keeping their equipment safe.
Sponsoring events in our local community is something we really enjoy here at A-Verdi and this is a big one. Each year the event brings tourism and an economic boost to the region as visitors enjoy the race. It is important to us that we not only establish business relationships within the community but also have a little fun sometimes too. We are always looking to be part of many great things here in Upstate New York and this event was exactly that. We look forward to being a part of many great things to come!
